A cheque for £1,000 from a charitable trust with links to a Norwich manufacturer was handed over on Saturday during the hospital's annual summer fete, which had a Wild West theme.

Gordon Bush, engineering manager of Heatrae Sadia in Hurricane Way, Norwich, presented the cheque on behalf of the Baxi Heating Charitable Trust to Antek Lejk, chief executive of the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT).

Maureen Tallis, manager of the Baxi Heating Charitable Trust, said: 'We are delighted to support NSFT with a £1,000 donation towards the multi-use games area for Hellesdon Hospital.

'This worthwhile cause fits with the ethos of our trust, which aims to support local community projects, particularly those which promote education and mental and physical wellbeing.'
