The 2011 Screenplay Competition organised by local film-making group, Norfolk Video Productions, has been won by local writer, Sue Wickham, of Yarmouth Road, Norwich.
Her screenplay, 'Key to the Barrier' took its theme as the treatment of people suffering from autism by those who do not recognise the condition. One of the judges described the script as 'a very promising story, with an important message about autism.'
The screenplays submitted to the competition were adjudicated by a panel consisting of Keiron Pim of Archant, Shaun Peel of BBC East, and Peter Holdroyd of Norfolk Video Productions.
The script is planned to be filmed later this year.
