Norwich strongman competition helps raise 700 for Sport Relief

Norwich's Strongest Man was crowned at Riverside Piazza as part of a weekend of activities organised by Fitness First.

Kane Benson walked away with the title after beating a 10-strong field in events such as the car pull, tyre flip, log press, and barrel carry and drag.

The gym also staged a number of sponsored exercise challenges, and raised a total of more than 700 for Sport Relief.

Junior Johnson, health and fitness manager at Fitness First, said: 'It was a fantastic day and showed what a good community we have, that we can really put ours heads together for a great cause.

'The weather was perfect for people to be outside and they got really hyped up. We probably had 200 or 300 people come down to watch and the atmosphere was swinging.'
