Norwich’s Lord Mayor’s Celebrations are hailed as a success

This year's Lord Mayor's Celebrations in Norwich have been hailed a success by its organisers, Norwich City Council.

Council leader Brenda Arthur said: 'It was a wonderful weekend and in these tough times, we are pleased to still be able to deliver magical, free events.'

While the council's culture and events manager, Helen Selleck said: 'The Lord Mayor's Celebrations carried the festive atmosphere throughout the weekend. This year we programmed more activities on the streets and people enjoyed moving around discovering different things in the city.

'Norwich is a European city and we showed how we can celebrate like one!'
