An inquest into the death of a Caister woman who hanged herself in her room at Great Yarmouth's Northgate Hospital while under observation, has been adjourned until tomorrow after the jury failed to return a verdict.
The Norwich inquest, which started on Tuesday, has been told that Louise Noon, 24, suffered from bipolar disorder and died on July 23 last year, three days after she was detained under the Mental Health Act. The inquest has heard that observation of Miss Noon had twice been reduced before her death, from six times an hour to two times an hour.
Norfolk and Waveney Mental Health Trust has since changed its policy on the observation of patients.
