A Norwich club for people who like to experiment with woodwork, metalwork and electronics is opening its doors to the public this weekend.

Norwich Hackspace is hosting an open day tomorrow (Saturday, May 12), as part of Arduino Day, which is a global celebration of the electronic micro-controller.

People who are curious about using Arduino, Rasberry Pi computers, 3D printing or learning about laser cutters are invited to attend.

From 10.30am to 4pm there will be tours of the hackspace, as well as show-and-tell projects. From 11.30am to 1.30pm there will be an introduction to Arduino workshop session.

Arduinos are small, low-cost and easy-to-use electronic micro-controllers, which can be programmed to response to certain requests.

To attend the open day, visit Lion House, Muspole Street Norwich, NR3 1DJ. Entry is free.
