Norwich City defender Marc Tierney has followed the example of Canaries captain Grant Holt in making a donation to former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore's depression charity.
Mr Holt donated a signed football shirt to Mr Collymore's campaign to raise money for the charity Depression Awareness through a charity shirt auction.
Mr Collymore used social media website Twitter to thank Mr Tierney, saying: 'Marc Tierney has kindly donated his Norwich shirt from the Wolves game last night. Many thanks Marc! Text Stan to 70555 for a chance to win.'
He also sent a message to Mr Tierney's brother, Paul, who helped to organise the donation, saying: 'Paul, really nice gesture pal. Please thank Marc and tell him I'll thank him personally at Carrow Raod! Thanks again!'
Mr Collymore tweets as @StanCollymore.
