He was known for flying down the wing, but now he's helping star lots fly off the shelves, and it's all for a good cause.

Norwich City legend Darren Eadie listed the first item on his celebrity charity auction website Sellebrity in July, but after only two months of selling he's been delighted with its progress.

Mr Eadie said: 'It's been very positive. Everybody has been very keen on the idea, both celebrities and charities.'

The idea for the website, which sells items belonging to celebrities, came to the former winger when he was packing up and getting ready to move to Blofield from Leicester.

He said: 'There were lots of things I didn't want any more, many of which I had hardly worn at all. I thought there must be a way of getting more money for charity from them than just giving them to a charity shop.

'Something that would make 2 to 3 with no name attached, can sell for 30 to 40 with a name, which raises more for the charity.'

The site is being backed by youth charity The Prince's Trust, which Mr Eadie is an ambassador for, but it is also raising money for other charities. For example, items sold on behalf of Robbie Savage are for the Alzheimer's Society.

Other celebrities selling items include Gary Lineker, Sir Ben Kingsley and Gabby Logan.

To date, the website has raised nearly 5,000 for charity, with the business taking a small commission.
