Residents from Necton were recognised last week for their special contributions to the village.
The three volunteers were nominated by the community and each awarded prizes as part of Necton Parish Council's new initiative called Community Spirit Awards.
Village toastmaster Nigel Wilkin led the awards ceremony while the former Norwich City footballer, Jeremy Goss, presented the awards, consisting of a certificate and a £40 voucher for a meal at Necton Windmill.
The winners included, Babs Hastell, known for supporting local groups and campaigning on issues such as protecting a local hospital, Frank Woodward who has been on the parish council for 32 years and is known for campaigning for village infrastructure improvement. And finally, well known resident Leonard Luff, recognised for serving as the village caretaker, which he has done for almost 10 years.
