A circus company in Norwich is set to open the doors of its Oak Circus Centre next month to professionals and beginners, giving them a chance to learn new skills from leading performers.
Lost in Translation will be hosting The Fly High Aerial & Acrobatics Circus Convention for the first time across the weekend of Friday 4 to Sunday, November 6.
The event will see practitioners from Canada, Germany and Australia arrive in the city to run workshops on a variety of moves across several categories including acro balance, aerial hoop, rope and silk.
The tutors have coached and performed with world renowned companies and schools including Cirque du Soleil, Circomedia and Ecole Nationale de Cirque.
Company founder Massimiliano Rossetti said: 'We want to really announce the presence of The Oak to people in Norwich and Norfolk and thought that the best way would be to invite our friends to come here to demonstrate their unique abilities and show others how they can learn them too.'
'Fly High will have something for anyone interested in circus skills, whether as a possible career or just wanting to learn more, from those who already have a grounding in our art form to absolute beginners – and all those in between.'
The convention will also be running a number of activities across the three days including a cabaret evening on Saturday 5 November.
At the end of the weekend, one pupil will also be crowned Fly High Champion by showcasing their new skills in the Circus Olympics.
Participants can buy a single-day pass for either the Saturday or Sunday for £80 or a full three-day ticket for £200. Tickets to the cabaret can be purchased separately for £6.
