An application for a German beer festival in Norwich this summer has been received by Norwich City Council, which, if it gets the go-ahead, will be the third of its kind in the city this year.
Norwich Bierfest would take place in Chapelfield Gardens from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 June.
It is based on the concept of frühlingsfest, or spring festival, and will include market stalls, a beer garden and a funfair.
Festival Director Carsten Raun, said: 'We want to bring a new attraction to Norwich and we expect up to 10,000 visitors. People of all ages are welcome.'
Norwich will also host two further beer festivals in the autumn to coincide with Oktoberfest.
The first will take place at The Open on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 October and another at Carrow Road on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 October.
Keep up to date on the latest news from the festival on their Twitter.
