Musicians from the Norwich-based Academy of St Thomas will be celebrating the ensemble's 200th performance this month.

The midsummer concert will take place on Saturday, June 18 at Salle Church, near Reepham, at 7.30pm.

The ensemble will be directed by violinist Lorraine McAslan who will play Mozart's Violin Concerto in G Major and Rondo for Violin and Orchestra. Ms McAslan - who has appeared with the Academy on many occasions since 1988 - has performed with many of Britain's big orchestras and made regular appearances on TV and BBC Radio 3.

The rest of the concert programme will include music from Holst and Grieg.

The Academy of St Thomas was founded in 1973. Tickets for the concert are available on the door or via Prelude Records on 01603 628319. For more, visit www.academyofstthomas.com
