The streets of Sheringham echoed with the low hum of more than 50 vintage trucks, Jeeps and motorcycles on Saturday, as the opening day of the North Norfolk Railway's 1940s weekend came to a close with a military vehicle parade.
Organised by Sheringham carnival committee, the procession set off from Station Road car park, following a one-and-a-half mile route around the town.
Vehicle owners, many of whom were dressed as servicemen and women, waved to the hundreds of people lining the streets as they passed by.
Carnival events manager Graham Deans said some of those taking part had travelled from as far afield as Wales, Somerset and Leicester.
He added: "It's been fantastic, we had an incredibly successful first day, with more people than ever before, and what is great is that a lot of them are staying in local hotels, caravan sites and bed and breakfasts, which is really good for the town."
