Two Norfolk teachers were recognised today for their exceptional abilities in the classroom.
Jane Brown from Brundall primary and Dale McMorran from Wymondham College were among 65 teachers in the UK who picked up nationally-recognised Silver Pearson teaching awards.
The pair are now shortlisted for a Gold Plato Award – considered the UK Oscars for teachers - which will be handed out during a glittering ceremony in London on October 21.
Andrew Proctor, Leader of Norfolk County Council and councillor for Brundall, said: 'Mrs Brown is just one of the many outstanding teachers we have working in schools across the county, bringing passion, care and commitment to her role. Ninety perccent of Norfolk's schools are now judged good or outstanding, thanks to the dedicated staff working to provide the very best education for the county's children.'
