Anglers have launched a bid to get four members of the Norfolk Angling Club to South Africa to take part in the World Fishing Championships next February.

Roger Cunnington, Dean Conway, Richard Hipperson and Russel Taylor have all qualified to represent England in the fourth annual Sport Fishing World Championships, but need to raise funds to help pay for their journey.

The Cross Keys Inn in Dilham is planning several events including quiz nights in order to raise money for the Norfolk fishers' trip.

This will include a 'race night' on November 17, call the pub on 01692 536398 for more details.

The fourth Sport Fishing World Championships includes different categories such as black bass fishing, carp fishing and carnivorous artificial baits boat angling.
