South Norfolk Council has been awarded the outstanding Housing Business Ready status by the Housing and Finance Institute (HFI).

Leader of South Norfolk Council John Fuller said: “Housing Business Ready recognition means that the Council can show potential partners that we have the political commitment, resources and ability to drive the local housing market. “Having a vibrant housing market helps local families and also helps generate growth in the local economy, so everyone benefits.”

The HFI was set up with Government support to boost the delivery of housing across the country. Being Housing Business Ready means that the Council has shown its commitment to control growth and work with its communities to ensure that infrastructure is in place.

It could also lead to South Norfolk Council being able to obtain future development funding.
