A Norfolk village community centre will soon be holding its second annual beer festival following the success of the first event.

The Pennoyer Centre, in Pulham St Mary, will be staging the festival over three days from November 30 to December 2.

This time, the festival will feature beers from smaller micro-brewers which don't yet have wide availability, specially chosen beers from bigger micro-brewers in the area and two beers with national reputations from outside the region.

The beers have been selected to give a balance in terms of strengths and styles and include Tipples Brewery's Hanged Monk, from Acle, voted Camra's best mild of the year; Tribute from St Austell, in Cornwall; and Green Jack's Trawler Boys, from Lowestoft – last year's best seller.

Ciders will also be available, for those who prefer something fruitier, including Crone's Cider, from Kenninghall.

Wines and spirits will be available from the Caf at Pennoyer's, along with a range of homemade cakes, speciality coffees, teas and soft drinks.

Farmers Jane and Brian Parkin, of Oaktree Farm, in Shelton will roast a whole rare breed hog on both Friday and Saturday, while the caf will provide alternatives for vegetarians.
