Norfolk anglers' reserve stages open day

A unique nature reserve on the outskirts of Norwich is staging an open day at the weekend.Both anglers and non-anglers are being invited to bring a picnic or enjoy a barbecue at Bawburgh Lakes Fishery.

A unique nature reserve on the outskirts of Norwich is staging an open day tomorrow .

Both anglers and non-anglers are being invited to bring a picnic or enjoy a barbecue at Bawburgh Lakes Fishery.

They will also be able to watch experienced anglers in action, receive instruction from licensed coaches and watch a range of demonstrations, including four times World Champion angler Bob Nudd and the Pike Anglers Club of Great Britain.

The event is being run by the Norfolk Anglers Conservation Association (NACA), which runs the fishery for gravel company CEMEX.

It runs from 9.30am - 3.30pm and admission is free. The venue is off New Road, between Bawburgh Village and Bowthorpe.
