A group for people with liver conditions has elected a new chairman and a committee member to support people who undergo liver transplants.
The Norfolk and Norwich Liver Group has appointed Bill Dingle as the new chairman, with Marjorie Dingle as secretary and Paul Bond as treasurer.
The group's committee now consists of Shirley and Chris Goate, Daphne Rimmer, David Dunton, Pam and Kenneth Rowe and Michael Corney, who has joined as a liver transplantee to support patients at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital who are about to receive a transplant. Rev Corney is also a member of the Addenbrooks Liver Transplant Association, so will liaise between the Norfolk and Norwich Liver Group and ALTA. Rev Corney said he found support from someone who had received a transplant was very beneficial.
The group, which recently funded a new liver scanner for the N&N, will next meet at 1.30pm on Thursday, September 6, at the Big C Centre at the hospital.
