Sheringham Town Council opted for continuity on Tuesday as Doug Smith was re-elected as mayor for a third term.
And his deputy, David Gooch, was returned for another year. Fellow councillor Mac McGinn said it had been a 'difficult year', and Mr Smith and Mr Gooch deserved to enjoy the coming term - including the Big Picnic that had been organised to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
