Crews from Reepham, Earlham, Hethersett, Sprowston, Norwich, Wroxham, Acle, Fakenham and Aylsham were among those sent, together with two water carriers, to an area of woodland off the Reepham Road, near Felthorpe.
Firefighters used hose reel jets and hand appliances to tackle the fire in the 200m by 200m of woodland just before 9.40am.
