Generations of service came together at a meeting of the Wymondham's army cadets to celebrate a new partnership.

A group of 10 members of the Royal British Legion's (RBL) Wymondham branch joined the town's Army Cadet Force on Monday, October 9 to mark a new scheme to promote, support and encourage each other.

Val Newell Youth Affiliation Scheme co-ordinator and the cadets' detachment commander Staff Sergeant Jane Olah signed a certificate which was presented to the unit before John Morter, chairman of the RBL thanked the cadets for accepting the offer of the partnership.

The RBL plans to provide opportunities to help cadets attain their Duke of Edinburgh's Award, and arrange for members to talk about their service experiences.
