Norwich has a new tea room that is hoping to add an 'eccentric' and 'quirky' appeal to the city's famous lanes.
Biddy's Tea Room, on Lower Goat Lane, is owned by 26-year-old Charlie Buchan, pictured, from Scole near Diss, who decided to set up a more traditional tea room after being made redundant from Topshop last year.
She explained: 'We are trying to bring back things like afternoon cream teas, a bit old fashioned, but a bit more theatrical than a take-away coffee shop. I wanted to open a place where someone my age would like to go and somewhere that my nan would feel equally comfortable.
'I want young people to enjoy the options because a lot of people my age don't know what a cream tea is, but I don't want it to be exclusive, I want it to span age groups.
'We are trying to have all our stuff locally sourced as well.'
