South Norfolk Council have approved plans to build a McDonald's drive-through restaurant at the Thickthorn interchange near Norwich.
The application was put to the council's development management committee today and they gave it the go-ahead after recommendations from planning officers.
The site, which may operate 24-hours a day, will create more than 65 full-time and part-time jobs and most of these will be recruited from the local community.
The development includes 60 car parking spaces, a seating area for 140 covers and cycle racks for customers.
There are currently seven other McDonald's restaurants within six miles of the site, including one at Longwater.
