A day care centre in Wells is currently undergoing a number of major changes, including saying farewell to the manager after many years of service.
Mary Britton is retiring from Heritage House after working there for 13 years.
She is passing the role to Michelle Reynolds, who will now become manager.
Nigel Dark, a spokesperson for Heritage House, said: 'The Trustees, staff and volunteers wish them both every success in their new undertakings and, in particular, they wish Mary happiness in her so called 'retirement' - she's going to be as busy as ever by the sound of it.'
Prior to being handed the keys by Ms Britton, Michelle Reynolds was a housing officer with a sheltered housing scheme. She also has a background of working in the nursing profession.
Work has also begun on an extension to the day care centre, which will provide additional storage space and a new staff room.
