Norwich City Council has approved a change of use for a venue on the Prince of Wales Road.
Bar 52, on the city centre road, has been given permission to change into a lap dancing venue.
The proposal was approved given the bar's location in the Late Night Activity Zone of the city, as well as the fact that Norwich is still under the limit for venues of this type.
This decision was strongly opposed by Green Party Councillor Lesley Grahame, who said: 'Do we want Prince of Wales Road to be a wall that separates the Cathedral Quarter and King Street, and the city from the railway? Or, a people friendly bridge for everyone to use at any time of the day or night.'
