Newcomers to Wymondham are being offered a chance to sample some of the history and heritage of the town at a special newcomers' event.

There will be a short presentation by local history and heritage enthusiast, Georgette Vale, as an introduction to a series of monthly 'walks and talks' she will be leading in the town during the spring and summer.

Mrs Vale said: 'We hope that it will be an icebreaker for those who want to find out more about our historic market town and that it will encourage local residents to explore Wymondham's iconic visitor attractions.'

The gathering will take place in the tearoom of Wymondham Heritage Museum on Sunday, April 9 from 2pm and 4pm.

The event is free and refreshments will be provided. Email Georgette@ValeMail.eu, call 07867 681839 or 01953 605434 or visit www.wymondhamwalksandtalks.co.uk to learn more or to register.
