A new chief executive at a Norwich-based social enterprise which helps people who have been homeless to get jobs in the food industry, is looking to steer the organisation in new directions.

Matt Townsend has recently taken up the top job at The Feed, having left North Norfolk Community Transport after driving the organisation through a period of major growth. The Feed was cooked up by social entrepreneur Barry Allard as part of the Learning, Employment and Accommodation Project (LEAP) which is a collaboration between St Martin's Housing Trust and Norwich City Council and is funded by the Big Lottery.

Mr Townsend said: 'Barry has done a great job of creating The Feed and we have a strong reputation for helping many hundreds of people. We have a challenging time ahead with LEAP's Lottery funding coming to an end. However, we have an exciting new partnership with Kettle Foods and we are cooking up some exciting plans.'
