A newly formed auction house in south Norfolk has pledged to give 10pc of its profits away to charity.

Wymondham Salerooms, which will be officially launched next week, has pledged its support to local good causes with the creation of a charitable fund.

At the end of each financial year, 10pc of the gross profit will be donated to local charities nominated by its members.

Auctioneer Matt Wilkins said: 'We are hopeful that the auction will become a key weekly event for the local community. We're anxious to play our part in Wymondham and Attleborough by committing to charitable donations from day one.'

The salesroom, at the Great Expectations Business Park, Suton, will be officially opened on Monday at 11am. The first sale will be held on February 16.
