Nearly £4,000 has been raised to buy Christmas presents for the four children of a man who died in a car crash near Thetford.
Terry Cooper, 30, died on November 19 when his Vauxhall Astra was involved in a head-on collision on the A1075 north-east of the junction with the A11, near Thetford.
A Go Fund Me page was set up to raise money, with its initial target of £1,000 having to be increased to £5,000 after more than £1,500 was donated on the first day.
Mr Cooper's brother, Craig Cooper said: 'I'd like to thank everyone for their support and contributing to the fund.
'We have had lovely messages and gestures during this very difficult time.'
Mr Cooper's funeral is being held at the West Suffolk Crematorium in Bury St Edmunds.
His brother added: 'All are welcome to attend a celebration of Terry's life at the ex-servicemen's club in Bridge Walk, Mill Lane, Thetford following the funeral.'
Mike Saul was friends with Mr Cooper and his family, who lived in Dereham but grew up in Thetford.
He started the fundraising page to help buy presents for Mr Cooper's four young children as he would 'spoil them at this time of year.'
The donation page has received a number of tributes from people wanting to support the Cooper family.
Dean Constantinou said: 'I will always cherish the memories from our childhood in Norwich Road and adulthood. Taken from us far too soon. RIP Terry xxx.'
Keith Coulson said: 'Terry, you were an awesome bloke and I'll never forget the great times we spent together.
'From wrecking the flat we lived in having boxing matches to the weekends away partying with the boys. These are memories I'll always carry with me. RIP coops xx.'
Mr Cooper's family described the former Rosemary Musker High School student as a 'lovely man'.
They said in a statement: 'He was very much loved by all his family, and judging by the amount of cards, flowers and kind comments we have received he was a very well liked and gentle person to others, too.
'He will be greatly missed.'
