Apprentice Nursing Assistant at Norwich & Norfolk University Hospital, Colney, £127.50 per week

For aspiring nurses and healthcare professionals, the perfect opportunity to develop practical skills in a high-paced environment is available in Norfolk's largest hospital.

During the 12-month contract, the successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week on the Edgefield Ward, which specialises in Urology care. They will become highly involved in the complex working environment, integrating with the Multi-Disciplinary Team and providing ongoing personal care to surgical patients.

Apprentices will develop extensive skills while working in the ward and are expected to offer the highest standards of care with dignity, compassion and respect for patients.

Alongside practical hospital work will be the completion of a Level 2 Clinical Diploma, courtesy of a local training provider, during the 12-month scheme. The hospital are looking for a candidate with 4x GCSE grade A-D(including Maths and English), and preferably previous experience as a health/social care support worker.

Apprentice Chef at The Grange Hotel, Ormesby, Great Yarmouth - £140 per week

Enjoyable, intense and often lucrative, top chef jobs are extremely popular, and in Great Yarmouth the Grange Hotel are offering a strong inroad into the cooking industry with their 18-month chef apprenticeship.

During this period the apprentice will work 40 hours per week assisting with all aspects of preparation, cooking and food presentation, as well as managing stock ordering and replenishment and developing their already strong interest and passion to work in the catering and hospitality industry.

Extensive training via Great Yarmouth College will lead to the completion of City & Guilds Level 2 Diplomas in Professional Cookery and Hospitality and Catering Principles, as well as other qualifications including in Health and Safety, and Employment Rights and Responsibilities.

In addition to a genuine love of cooking and desire to enter catering and hospitality, the successful candidate must possess at least 4 GCSES at Grade D or above including English and Maths.

Apprentice Teaching Assistant at Sewell Park Academy, Norwich - £131 per week

One of Norwich's biggest secondary schools is offering an 18-month apprenticeship programme to train potential teaching assistants on the job in a role supporting pupils, teachers, the school and the curriculum.

Under the guidance of senior staff the successful candidate will offer general classroom support and specialised help for pupils with special educational needs, working 37.5 hours per week on a term-time Monday to Friday basis, and completing a Level 2 Certificate at City College as part of the scheme.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about working with children and have some experience in a similar role, as well as a minimum of Grade C GCSE in English and Maths.

Technical Support Engineer Apprentice at the AST group, Great Yarmouth - £225 per week

In Great Yarmouth a lucrative opportunity to launch yourself into the IT/telecoms industry is available with an apprenticeship as a systems support engineer for AST.

The ideal candidate will learn to test and repair satellite communications equipment, study electrics and communications theory and build on their own strong IT skills.

A minimum of 4 GCSES grade C or above(including Maths, English and ICT) is required, as is a good knowledge of home networking, IT hardware and MS office applications. The apprentice will work 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, expanding on their general knowledge over a one-year fixed period, with an opportunity to progress further after completing numerous Advanced Qualifications in IT and telecoms.
