After 12 days without signal a Norfolk village has been reconnected thanks to the intervention of an MP.
Garboldisham and the surrounding area had been unable to use the Vodafone service since Monday February 26.
Residents lobbied for their local MP, Elizabeth Truss, to intervene and finally they now have signal.
Mrs Truss said: 'I contacted Vodafone's chief executive's office for urgent action to be taken.
'However, I am extremely disappointed for local residents and businesses in the Garboldisham area that they have had such a frustrating time in getting the antenna operational again and would hope if this happens again, we will see a more rapid response from Vodafone.'
District councillor and resident Marion Chapman-Allen constantly contacted the telecommunications giant over Twitter hoping for action.
Once reconnected she tweeted: 'It was a huge problem and inconvenience to the neighbourhood maybe caused by the snow.
'But I accept that it was a major mast fault and these things happen even in towns.'
