Motorists urged to keep cars safe after thieves target vehicles across Great Yarmouth borough

POLICE in Great Yarmouth are renewing their appeals to motorists to protect their cars from thieves after several vehicles were broken into across the borough.

Since the beginning of July offenders have targeted cars in Great Yarmouth, Gorleston, Caister, Hopton, Ormesby and Hemsby stealing items including CDs, sunglasses, sat nav systems, clothing, binoculars, an iPhone, a camera, a wallet and an MP3 player.

Officers are urging drivers to lock their vehicles when leaving them unattended and remove all valuable items.

Anyone with information about vehicle crime in the borough should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
