A man and a woman suffered 'minor injuries' in a two-vehicle collision in Beccles.

The crash between a silver Honda Accord and a grey Vauxhall Corsa happened in Newgate, close to Station Road in Beccles, about 9am.

A police spokesman said: 'We were called at 9.06am following reports of a two vehicle collision in Newgate, which led to the road being blocked.'

The East of England Ambulance Service were called out at 9.04am to the Station Road area.

The vehicles had been moved from the scene by 9.45am, and traffic was flowing freely once more after delays were experienced following the crash.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said an ambulance attended and 'treated two patients – a man in his 50s and a woman in her 40s with minor injuries.'

Both patients were checked over before they were discharged from the scene.
