Motorists continued to queue at the Morrisons petrol station in Diss today, while the town's other main filling station was still without fuel.
Approximately 25 cars queued outside the Morrisons station, opposite the supermarket, this morning and smaller queues have continued throughout the afternoon as frantic drivers rush to fill up with petrol amid fears of an impending strike by tanker drivers.
Peter Morley, manager of the Morrisons store, said: 'It is busy out there, but we have not got a problem with supplies at the moment and we are not anticipating any. The amount of fuel being used is monitored electronically.'
However, the Shell garage near Diss station in Victoria Road was still without fuel this morning, having had 'no fuel' signs up yesterday morning as well.
The garage's manager Mohan Selvam said approximately 7,000 litres of diesel was delivered this morning, but no new unleaded petrol supplies were expected before this evening.
