A motorcyclist has been stopped by police for travelling at nearly twice the speed limit in Norwich.

Police said the biker was caught at around 2pm today riding on Mile Cross Lane at speeds approaching 60mph.

The Norfolk and Suffolk roads policing team tweeted: 'Nice bike, but ridden at nearly 60mph through Norwich is a massive risk to road users and rider's wallet.'

Police said the rider will be dealt with through the traffic offence reporting scheme.
