Morris man dances his way into Norwich today
A Morris dancer following in the footsteps of a Shakespearean actor and dancing every step of the way from London to Norwich is due to arrive in the city today.
A Morris dancer following in the footsteps of a Shakespearean actor and dancing every step of the way from London to Norwich is due to arrive in the city today.
Tom Clare, 33, is dancing his way along the 120-mile journey from the capital to raise money for community projects and to raise the profile of Morris dancing.
The pizza delivery driver from Northamptonshire set off on Friday, February 11 and spent last night in Wymondham.
He is due to reach the UEA at about 4pm, and the city centre at around 5.30pm.
His merry band also includes friends Jamie Pope, who is unicycling the journey dressed as a clown, and Adam Bacon who is dressed as a Jedi.
Mr Clare was inspired to undertake the feat after hearing the story of Will Kemp who danced from London to Norwich in 1600.

'When I started Morris dancing four years ago someone told me the story of Will Kemp and I thought that was the crazy sort of thing I would do,' he said.
'The support has been great, lots of people have been waving and beeping at us.'
When they arrive in Norwich, they will meet up with local Morris dancing groups before dancing their way into the city centre.
Mr Clare added: 'We want to raise the profile of Morris dancing and raise the awareness of community gardens and community projects.
'We want to start a community garden in Brackley in Northamptonshire so we want to learn about other projects and how they engage people of all ages.'
