Morning rush hour traffic was suffered disruption this morning following two separate road traffic collisions on the A11, near Thetford.

Emergency services were first called to the westbound carriageway at Kilverstone, near the A1075 roundabout, at about 7.15am after a black Renault Clio left the road and flipped over.

Two people were taken to the West Suffolk Hospital at Bury St Edmunds with whiplash injuries and one lane of the A11 was closed for more than an hour.

At 7.30am, a lorry and two cars were involved in a shunt on the opposite carriageway at Roudham Heath. No one was injured, but the road was blocked for a few minutes.

Norfolk Police also received reports of a number of minor incident accidents on the A11 during the morning rush hour as a result of icy conditions at Snetterton, Attleborough and Wymondham.
