Rail passengers are experiencing another day of disruption on the Norwich to London mainline as engineers battle to fix damage to overhead lines. National Express East Anglia is providing a “limited” train service on the route for the rest of today and is expecting to operate a normal service from tomorrow.

Rail passengers are experiencing another day of disruption on the Norwich to London mainline as engineers battle to fix damage to overhead lines.

National Express East Anglia is providing a “limited” train service on the route for the rest of today and is expecting to operate a normal service from tomorrow.

The train operator is running the following off-peak mainline service today.

An hourly InterCity service from Liverpool Street to Norwich at 30 minutes past the hour and from Norwich to Liverpool Street on the hour, an hourly service from Liverpool Street to Clacton at eight minutes past the hour and from Clacton to Liverpool Street at 50 minutes past the hour. Peterborough/Lowestoft services will start and terminate at Ipswich.

A train shuttle service will operate between Colchester and Harwich Town and between Witham and Braintree.

A booked service will operate between Colchester to Colchester town, Colchester to Walton routes, and on the Metro, Southend and Southminster routes. A bus shuttle service will operate between Shenfield and Ingatestone. First Capital Connect will accept National Express East Anglia tickets.
