A special interactive screening of Monty Python's Life of Brian is coming to Wells this Easter thanks to a community run cinema.

The screening of the religious satire is being hosted by community cinema group Screen-next-the-sea and they aim to create a unique cinema experience by combining the screening with interactive activities.

They are encouraging moviegoers to laugh and sing along with Life of Brian while dressed up in togas, wearing fake beards and eating various treats which fit the film.

Linda Kerrigan, committee member for the group, said: 'Several volunteers will be dressed up and we're hoping to engage people and have a bit of fun, and of course be a bit cheeky by screening Life of Brian on Easter Monday.'

The screening is on April 17, at Alderman Peel School. Tickets are £5 per adult or £3.50 for children, they can be purchased online at www.wells-cinema.com, or on the door by cash or cheque.
