Young mum and money saving expert, Holly Smith, is celebrating reaching the final shortlist for not one but two pretigious awards.

Mrs Smith's company Extreme Couponing UK is a finalist in the Amazon Digital Business of the Year and the Hopton mum-of-two is shortlisted for the Duke of York New Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Both awards come under the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards.

Mrs Smith's success has come despite having to overcome many obstacles, including Asperger's.

She said: 'I developed a passion for finding the best money saving deals and extreme couponing when I was suffering from debilitating illnesses, which had forced me to give up my then job. Empowered by the internet, I have been able to channel my autism, energies and positive attitude to share my money saving ideas, via my website, blog and social media.'

This has now developed into a full-time business, which has a following of almost 380,000 on Facebook alone .

Mrs Smith's money saving advice is often sought after. She recently appeared on Channel 4's Sun, Sea and Supersavers, where Mrs Smith was able to help another young mum slash her massive weekly grocery bill.

Mrs Smith added: 'When I started this hobby, little did I realise that it would be the start of an incredible journey. Sharing online and on social media has established my reputation as a trusted money saving expert, helping many families and individuals who are on limited budgets, with advice and tips for their everyday shopping. I'm so happy to have been nominated and it's such a great honour to have reached the finals of the awards.'

The finalists were chosen from hundreds of businesses which entered or were nominated across 18 award categories. Mrs Smith will be one of 10 finalists in each of her two categories.

All finalists will now prepare for live presentations to an expert judging panel who will decide the overall winners. This year's prestigious award ceremony will take place on November 15, at the Grosvenor House, Park Lane, where the winners will be revealed.
