Firefighters have been called out to tackle a fire in a mobile home in the Suffolk town of Eye this afternoon which left an occupant suffering smoke inhalation.

The fire in Ranley Green Road was reported just before 4pm and saw fire crews from Stradbroke and Diss attend the incident.

A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: 'On arrival the crews found a mobile home heavily smoke logged and after isolating both the electricity and gas supplies, set up a water fog spray to deal with the fire.

'One female occupier was given oxygen therapy as she was suffering from smoke inhalation from the fire.'

The fire was out by 4.30pm with firefighters remaining on the scene to make sure it was safe.
