A mixed weather forecast has been predicted for the big weekend in Great Yarmouth.

The likes of the Red Arrows and the Bremont Great War Display team will be soaring above the seafront this weekend as the Haven Great Yarmouth Air Show takes flight, but it looks like Sunday could be a much nicer day to watch the show.

Chris Bell, weather forecaster at Weatherquest, said: “Sunday looks like a nice day. There should be some sunny spells, largely dry, and with a south westerly on the coast finally, so you should enjoy some warmer weather as we’re not going to have that northerly that has kept it cooler.

“The temperature should reach the low 20s and there is only a very low risk of a shower.”

However, a lot more uncertainty surrounds the forecast for Saturday, with wind and rain expected.

Mr Bell said: “On Saturday unfortunately, as we go into the afternoon particularly, it is going to be pretty cloudy and potentially breezy as well, with the chance of some rain.

“We’re not quite sure yet how widespread or heavy the rain is going to be but overall it looks like quite a cloudy blustery day with the chance of rain.

“The wind speeds at the ground are going to be a good 15 to 18mph, with gusts of 25 or 30.”
