Emergency services were called out to assist with a search for a missing man.
HM Coastguard rescue officers from Lowestoft and Southwold were called out to conduct a search along with police in the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
With the East of England Ambulance Service also in attendance, the search was carried out along Lowestoft's South Beach. A spokesman for HM Coastguard Lowestoft and Southwold said they were called out at 4.20am on Saturday. The spokesman said: 'The Lowestoft and Southwold team were paged by Humber Coastguard operations centre to reports of a missing adult male with serious concerns for his health. With the ambulance service and Suffolk Police in attendance, the missing person was located and was in the care of the ambulance service. He was then transported to James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston for observation.'
The coastguard team were then stood down.
