A family in Beetley is desperately searching for their pet owl which may be struggling to survive on her own.
The European eagle owl, named Baby, went missing from Beetley on March 25 and the family believe the she is likely to be 'scared and hungry'.
The owl was bred in captivity and so it is likely to have difficulty living in the open. She is described as brown with orange eyes, almost three feet tall and with a six foot wing span. She also has a blue identification ring on her foot.
The family said: 'She has been in the family nearly 10 years and is dearly missed.'
They have asked people not to approach or attempt to capture the bird if they see it as this will only send her further away.
