A crucial meeting about the future of the Great Yarmouth Air Show is believed to be being held in the town this morning.

It has been reported that the meeting of tourism bosses and organisers will decide whether the show, due to be held between Thursday, June 15 and Sunday, June 18.

The BBC have said it may be cancelled due to costs for public safety and counter-terrorism measures far exceeding expectations.

It is believed a press statement will be issued after the meeting.

The Great Yarmouth Air Show has been backed by holiday giants Haven who run 36 holiday parks across the country, including four in the Great Yarmouth area.
