A youngster from South Norfolk is hoping to be the next Lewis Hamilton as he takes on the racers in The Bambino Kart Club Championships (BKC).
Logan Howes, aged six, from Bunwell near Attleborough, is now looking for sponsors for his racing team ahead of the BKC, the UK's largest karting championship for Logan's age group.
Karting may seem like an extreme sport for young Logan but his determination to be competitive led him to the sport.
James Howes, Logan's father, said: 'We tried all sorts of hobbies. With the standard football and rugby but he just didn't take to it that well. Once he had the basics he just wanted to get on with it.
'What made him take so well to karting is, when he has his helmet on, no one can tell him what to do, learning his own race craft in that way by figuring it out himself.'
Logan says that the best part about racing is 'going fast' and 'trying to beat everyone' to win the race.
The Carleton Rode Primary School pupil hopes that one day he can follow in the footsteps of one of his favourite racing drivers, Fernanado Alonso, who Logan says is the best because he 'loves that he never gives up trying, which is what I try to do'.
He said: 'My grandad takes me to Snetterton to watch races and when we walk around the pits I tell him I'm going to be driving a car like this one day and people will come to watch me.'
In Logan's last race, in the London Karting Cup, he came fourth in one of heat races before being knocked off in the final race.
Mr Howes said: 'I think we could have had more but our engine is not very competitive, which shows Logan has potential.
'We have only spent last year learning the trade. This year we have done a few club meetings and bits and pieces.
'We are able to fund Logan's passion but to be at the top level, the funding has to keep coming.
'By looking for sponsors, it gives others the chance to show their support to a local child and get to be associated with the team.
'Logan always puts in his hard work it would be great to see someone else put in that support and reap the rewards with him.'
Logan was six in August and wants to challenge for the front of the field in the BKC next year,
