A ceremony has been held outside the town hall in Great Yarmouth to honour the armed forces.
The mayor, councillor Mary Coleman, hoisted the armed forces flag as part of celebrations ahead of Armed Forces Day on June 30.
Reverend Albert Cadmore led the ceremony and said the ceremony was to honour those past and present who “fight for peace and defend truth and justice.”
The reverend concluded the ceremony with a prayer for the armed forces and the peace of the world.
Military personnel, flag bearers, veterans and councillors were then invited inside the town hall for refreshments.
Armed Forces Day offers communities the chance to show their support for men and women in the forces, from currently serving troops, to veterans and cadets.
Events will be taking place across the country on the day, with the nearest event taking place in Lowestoft, where there will be displays from the Band of the Irish Guards, The USAF, Air Cadets, Army Cadets, Sea Cadets and the Salvation Army.
