A woman who had been missing from Great Yarmouth since Sunday morning has been found following an extensive search involving police drones, dogs and coastguard rescue teams.
Maxine Peachey, 53, was found by a member of the public in Caister Road, Great Yarmouth, travelling towards Caister at 2pm on Monday afternoon.
Chief Inspector of Great Yarmouth Police Nathan Clark, thanked the media and members of the public for their help in finding Maxine.
Before being found, her last sighting was in the Stafford Road area of Great Yarmouth at 10.45am on Sunday.
Following an appeal for help from police, a handful of residents gathered at Gorleston beach at 12pm on Monday to assist with the search efforts.
Those who took part were given a briefing of Maxine's description and the clothes she was last seen wearing.
Teams from Great Yarmouth Police, lowland rescue and Gorleston coastguard had been working together since 10am on Monday morning to identify the most likely areas Maxine would be found in.
The 53-year-old is now being looked after by a medical team.
