On Saturday the Marshland High School Pink Ladies hockey team gathered to undertake a sponsored Park Run in Kings Lynn to raise funds for both the school's PE Department and the Pelicans Hockey Club new club house fund.

Pelicans Hockey club have been providing free facilities for schools to access and take part in hockey matches.

As this generous gesture has happened for around 15 years now the Marshland girls got together and decided to 'give a little back' and help to raise some money.

Some 18 girls met early on Saturday morning and did the run with their Head of PE, Former International and current Pelicans Hockey Club player Paul Swinburn. Many of these girls also play for Pelicans Hockey Club or other local clubs- and all beat Mr Swinburn.

The event was friendly with plenty of chatting and cheering. Many of the girls have now got the running bug and will continue to support the Kings Lynn Park run.
